Stranded!

I suppose there are worse places to be stranded, but American Airlines has canceled our flights home so we’re “stuck” in Mexico for two more days.

At least the weather is flawless and I still have clean clothing left.

We have limited internet access so this will likely be my sole blog post from vacation (and I’m letting you down even more by including no photos).

But we’re having a great time and I’ll update you when we get home…hopefully Saturday!

I fully blame American Airlines for my misery; I was off last night, today, tonight and tomorrow. My first – FIRST – thought??? I can go up and visit Karl!

And YOU are stuck in frickin’ MEXICO.

    Hmph!

    Heya Karl & Randy –
First off – GOOD LUCK!!! with American getting outta there and home – good thing you have flexible accomodation, correct? Being hyper polite and unstressed to the gate agents helps, methinks – Russ & I were stranded, basically, in Puerto Rico years ago – I was freaking out, but he was calm and polite and cool with the nice, harried lady at the gate – despite the 100s of other stranded people, we got out that day..in seats 1A & B in first class – woo hoo! Karma works!
In any case, hope y’all make it home swiftly, safe and sound – Karl – give me a call – situation brewing I need to discuss with you afore next weekend….

    Cheers lads!

You probably won’t see this until you get home, but the airwaves here have been filled with comments directed at American, often venomous, by stranded passengers. The only consolation –if there can be any–is that American’s taking a hit in the hundreds of millions over these cancellations, which had topped a thousand flights by Friday evening.

Take care of yourselves and enjoy every extra minute while you’re stuck there!
