Big Proud Plans
My friends, Chris and John, are flying up to Boston from Washington, DC tonight for a fun-filled Beantown weekend. Their flight arrives at 11PM and then they want to go out for dinner. I know that in other parts of the world (and even in New York City) this is not an uncommon time for dinner…but it’s late to me. I plan on going home and taking a nap before picking them up. I mean, their dinner time is my actual bed time. oy vey.
Tomorrow we’re going to the Pride Parade and Festival with 150,000 or so of our best friends (sarcasm). Chris and John, who are gay, actually dislike gay people so I’m not so sure how long we’ll last. And I hate heat and humidity so I’m not so sure how long I’ll last. This should be interesting.
On Sunday, Chris, John, Rich and I are going down to the Cape. First popping by my parents place to wish Dad a happy Father’s Day, and then to Provincetown where we’ll hopefully meet up with my friend, Heath and spend the afternoon walking, talking, gawking and shopping. Finally, they want to watch the sunset over the water (presumably from Herring Cove Beach.
Then it’s back to work on Monday for me, but one more day for urban adventures for them. And I get my own new urban adventure two weeks from today when I fly out to visit a friend in Minneapolis. This is quite a social summer for me. Yep, Karl gets his groove back (though, I don’t think he really had it to begin with).

Whether you’re in the groove or not, it sounds like it’s going to be an interesting weekend!
Gays who don’t like gay people.
Hmm.
And ummmmmmm, how about making time for us local folk?
<sniff>
in my defense, its a very *specific* segment of gay-dom i have lack of sympathy for and understanding of. you know the guys. we all do. their names may change but the attitude and the demeanor and the affectations are the same. you know, THEM.::::but maybe you dont have those guys in boston, it may be a DC species.:::yeah karl, why arent we partying with the locals?
Snarl, I saw your groove recently. It was lurking around Wianno Ave, longing to return to its, um, “humble” roots. Hahahahahahaha.
