From One Extreme to the Other…in One Evening

I met my high school friend, Candy, after work on Friday night. She had driven to Boston from Cape Cod to drop her sister off at Boston College for the fall semester. We met in Chinatown since she was there getting a haircut. She and I walked to a nearby Vietnamese restaurant where I had a yummy pork/vegetable meal and one of those nifty little jelly ball teas (you know, the ones with the tapioca-like black balls that sink to the bottom and that you suck up through a wide straw – tasty!)

After dinner we walked back to her car so we could drive to our new condo (she hadn’t seen it before). Candy asked if I wanted to do the driving since I knew where I was going. I considered doing that until she showed me the car…a Porsche SUV (I didn’t even know they made such things)! There’s no way in hell I was going to drive a brand new Porsche when I don’t have a car (or insurance) of my own. I mean, one fender bender in that thing and the cost of the repair would have sent me to the poor house. I made her drive.

Later in the evening my friend, Jason, picked me up to go to the Boston Ramrod. I was decked out in my fetish finest: black leather boots and jeans, topped off with a black DC Eagle t-shirt (courtesy of Chris…thanks!). Jason even let me wear his leather harness under my shirt (though I ultimately chickened out and didn’t remove my outer t-shirt).

We had a great time – and because of our attire were were allowed into the backroom (which is NOTHING like a San Francisco backroom, I must say). However, one fellow asked if he could kiss both of us (we declined) and a second fellow later asked me to take off my shirt (I declined). But it was flattering none the less.

I think we may make a habit out of doing this. The night was quite an ego booster for me – and it fulfilled my voyeuristic tendencies.

Today (Saturday) was much more low key: I got a haircut and went shopping. I bought two shirts, some socks, a bathing suit and some cotton pants at H&M (strangely, the swimsuit was size large but the pants were a size 30 waist), I also went to Macy’s and bought a Kenneth Cole shirt, some tank tops and underwear. And with both stores combined, I still only spent a grand total of $80.00!! WOO HOO!

with all that shopping you better have $$$ for next weekend, miss ting. or at least be willing to break out the plastic for emergency must-haves: a jacket here, some sneakers there etc etc.

the pardo sisters are sending you back to boston a new (read: sexier and more confident) man. LOL.

The Ramrod sounds like fun – but take off that freaking shirt!!!

I agree. Take off the shirt. Even if you feel uncomfortable (in a self-conscious kind of way), leather men are very accepting. No one will care if you aren’t perfect. (If it’s uncomfortable in a temperature kind of way, then do what you need to do. No use freezing, I say.)

Oh, and the Porsche Cayenne is the sister-SUV of the Volkswagen Touareg. Just FYI.

You can drive my ’97 Saturn next time if it will make you feel better. I’ll make sure the shirt comes off next time. Is my harness visiting NYC?

Wow! I’m impressed with your apparently keen eye for a bargain. I can’t go into Old Navy without coming out with $150 worth of crap…let alone walk into an upscale store and score a bargain. Kudos to you.
