My Worst Post Yet

I probably shouldn’t have even bothered posting today. But there’s a part of me that gets sad when my favorite blogs haven’t been updated in a day or two. I worry about you guys!

Anyway, today is graduation at Harvard so there are thousands of people milling about outside and inside the building (there are more inside than in some previous years because of some persistent rain). To complicate matters, I had to bring Dusty to work with me since she has a vet appointment at 3:00 p.m.

I’m going to kill her. The MSPCA is going to run a full report on me, I’m sure. She will not calm down! When we first adopted her and I brought her to work as a tiny 8-week old, she would play…and then fall asleep for hours at a time. Now, at 5 months, she won’t stop running, biting, chewing, biting, peeing, biting, panting or biting. Did I mention biting? You’d think I mixed some speed with her kibbles this morning. But I really didn’t! If anything, I may put some valium in there next time I have to take her anywhere.

There’s a part of me that is glad the vet is giving her a shot this afternoon – maybe it will teach her a lesson. Does that make me a bad person?

I love dogs, but I’ve always been afraid of dogs who bite… I know they’re being playful and all, but I still get afraid. Hmm…

Bad person? Or do you? heh! You’re taking her to the vet, that makes you a good person! I don’t think you even have a bad bone in you Karl.

    In response to Underling’s comment:

Imagine one of those smiley-faced and blushing emoticons here. (I’m not clever enough to insert the actual emoticon).
