Karl’s Tasty Sausage

“Walking in a winter wonderland…”

I think I may have been the only person excited about last night’s snowfall. Aside from the HUGE snow storm that dropped 36 inches of snow in Salem back in December, this winter has been pretty uneventful. I’ve been going through withdrawal all season so this morning I was thrilled to walk to work in the slushy, slippery snow…except for one thing:

back-splat

This is the bizarre and inexplicable occurance of splattered precipitation that appears on the back sides of my legs whenever it rains or snows. Matt doesn’t have this problem…and most people I see on the street don’t have this problem (I look jealously at people walking around in dry pants).

I only need to take 5 steps outside and there are muddy dots up and down the back of my leg. My footwear, like a bulldozer, picks up debris and lets me carry it around for the rest of the day in the form of a stain.

It’s gotten to the point where I wear a pair of those Adidas nylon running pants over my pants/jeans to avoid having to do laundry every day it rains or snows.

So, I’m asking now….does anybody out there know how to prevent this debilitating problem?

Oh, and here’s tonight’s dinner: turkey keilbasa with pan-fried pasta, zuchini, beans, carrots and brocolli.

so is it stir fries that you cook all the time?

Apparently, Matt thinks so! I do recall going through a stir-fry phase back in the late 90’s (even I was sick of it). But I can’t recall the last time I made one.

FYI…this stir-fry I made last night was just for me – Matt ate out.

Though, I am noticing that all of my dinners have the same color-scheme. Any advice would be appreciated!

Back-splats happen to those who walk quickly and have a big stride. You gotta walk slower when the ground is wet.
