What’s in a Name?

My blog is less than 24 hours old and I’ve already changed it’s name.

After setting up my blog, I created the links you see on the right. One of them is for my friend, Jen, who has a blog called “What’s Brewing?”. I felt that “What’s for Dinner?” was too similar.

So, I spent the night trying to come up with something else (obviously I don’t do enough to keep busy). Anyway, I started thinking about it and realized it might be wiser to have a blog title that begins with “A” instead of “W” so that it isn’t always at the bottom of lists.

With some thought, I came up with “Adventures in Gastronomy”. It’s quirky, it relates to the story about how this whole blog got started, and it puts me closer to the top of the list.

And today, I’m posting the first picture of a meal. Since we’re attending a party tonight and I won’t be cooking (though I’ll try to sneak in my digital camera to photograph my plate),  I’m posting my lunch: tuna salad on a bed of spinach.

Wow! I guess our meals are going to be moving into better presentation mode now that they will be posted to the WWW! I am most excited. The tuna salad lunch actually looks quite good — not the normal clump in a bowl with some leaves tossed on top. The new title makes me think of the digestive system and gas. Hmmmm…
