Enough Already!
Normally, I like big winter storms. Nothing thrills me more between December and February than a nice big blizzard. However, this winter we’ve received only slightly more than six inches of snow. If we get no more, we break a record for the least amount of snow EVER (since record-keeping began back in the 1800’s).
Now we’ve got a snow storm that could ruin everything. And, to be honest, I’m rather sick of the threat of snow. I’m sure as hell not sick of receiving snow since we’ve barely had any (and I was out of the country for most of it). But after 70 degrees just two days ago, I’ve got spring on my mind.
Anyway, at least it will be pretty. And speaking of pretty, here are more photos of my youth (as part of my scanning project):
1972 – Here I am with my brother and our fashionable “above ground” swimming pool (I’m on the right).
1977 – And nothing says class more than dressing your kids in identical outfits and bringing them to Sears. Damn, such luxurious blonde locks we had (I’m on the right).
1985 – The 70’s and 80’s were all about brown weren’t there? Always remember: your clothes and pets should match the carpet.
1996 – I’ve morphed from a cute and innocent blonde into the devil.

You became the devil when you became GAY! 😉 I’m waiting for pictures with the perfunctory 70’s wood paneling and loud edible colors (e.g. avocado green) on your appliance, clothing, cars, etc.
I love these pictures! More more!
Too damn cute.
Yeehaw, Cowboy. I love the paddling pool photo. Hated that damn dog though. 😉
Wow, what a cute kid you were!
What happened?
Snarl, you had those same brown cords on two days ago. I think they are in the dresser drawer in my place. Glad to see youve changed with the times! It seems you never left the 80s to begin with. All you do is hum obscure 80s music that no one (and by no one I mean all the rest of my friends) has ever heard of. I guess I shouldnt complain 80s beats the christmas music you keep bringing back at strange times.
Oh and when we grow up can we get one of those inflatable wading pools too? Who am I kidding I want a hot tub in the back yard. Screw the pool!
Oh yea forgot to add, Nice white socks too. I know your aversion to white socks now! But if you had them on today you could match the snow falling… I guess with all these unkind comments you wont be helping me shovel later?
I guess my feeling on the snow .. which I forgot to comment on… is show me the money. I missed all of the snow due to my frequent travel. Give us a big one. Non of that rain, sleet crap, just snow. Let my snow blower do the work. Good reason to stay in all weekend and make monkey love! he he
