You Oughta’ Be In Pictures

…Or maybe not.

Remember how I blogged on Tuesday about this amazing photo that was taken by the staff photogapher for Metro Weekly (one of DC’s gay newspapers)? Well, I checked out their website this morning to see my photo (and post it here)…but it wasn’t there!

In fact, no photos from that bar were in the paper. Since it was Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend in the city and this was not an affiliated event, I guess the photos from the leather events took precedence. Maybe it will show up next week?

Oh, and speaking of being in pictures, a movie is being filmed on my block right now. For the past few days I’ve had to bypass enormous trucks and such. I hear the movie is going to be filmed in the North End for the next few weeks/month(s) so this should be interesting. I suspect I’ll get tired of all the equipment pretty quickly…but for now, it’s somewhat exciting. I think it’s going to star Danny Aiello (the father in Madonna’s “Papa Don’t Preach” video).

Well, in lieu of my rock-star photo from Metro Weekly being posted here, I guess I’ll attach one that my friend, Chris, took of me and Mike while in DC. In it, Mike is wearing my styling new hat…which, as you can tell from my frightening hair, was previously on my head just before the photo was taken. I look dreadful, so focus your attention on Mike.

PHOTO DELETED FOR YOUR PROTECTION

Edit: The photo was so horrific that my friend, Jason (Ex Post Facto), encouraged me to remove it immediately. In its place, here is another photo taken by Chris (which meets Jason’s approval).

Thank you, thank you. Seriously man…I was weeping with that other one. Small children would have run screaming.

    Ride’m cowboy!!
Well I ‘m sure you get into the ropes, leather and such Karl, but could you rope a calf?
I think Jennifer Aniston is in this movie too. You should check out the Heralds Inside track.
Maybe you could get some cool autographs.

Remember, the only reason one has a blog, (or posts a comment on one) it to get lucky and that pic, had it remained available to the general public, would have made you a modern day Abelard. The new one is cute, but what on earth is that stuff behind you?

Oh, I photoshopped the background since it was indoors and there were strangers who might not want to be posted on-line for the world to see.

Wait..you comment on my blog to get lucky? Has it worked? I must be doing something wrong. My blog has never led me to romance (or luck).

Owning my own cowboy hat that I think makes me look pretty good, I complement you on yours. 🙂

It hasn’t worked. But it has finally convinced me to get that Stetson hat I always wanted. And to never allow myself to be photographed without editorial review.

I think you look quite hot.

Thanks! I’ve always like the look of such hats on men. Just wait until you see the picture I post tomorrow…a friend of mine photoshopped it. Very fun!

It’s a really sexy hat–not that you aren’t– but the hat is very cool with the stubble and the sensitive male expression. If they ever make the sequel (“Ennis Finds True Love”) you’re a shoo-in for the part.
