Simple is as Simple Does

An on-line friend asked me this morning to describe a typical day for me. And upon responding, I realized that my life is pretty damn lame. I’ve always been a man of routine. I’ve tried shaking things up a bit…a trip here or there; meeting new people; taking classes.

But overall – I simply prefer comfort. The rush of doing something new and exciting is nice while it lasts, but by the end of the day – I’m happy in my home environment reminiscing and reliving in my mind what I had done earlier.

Besides, with my recent break-up, the death of a friend, the hospitalization of my niece and some new issues that have come up with my ex, the comforts of life help maintain what’s left of my sanity.

So – it’s junk food, bad TV and internet porn for me!

    Karl-
    You are far from boring.
There is nothing wrong with a bit of stability or structure in life. As long as you throw in some pizelle’s? and something leather once in a while……
    😉

Comfort? Home environment? Junk food, bad tv and porn? You say that like it’s a bad thing.

Now where would the modern gay man be without the wonders of internet porn? Comfort, in any form is a good thing.

Get Down with your “Not-as-Spicy-as-You-Wannabe” self!………what would you do differently if you dont want to be/feel “boring” though? scale mt everest? have unprotected sex with a tweaked out crystal bottom? proclaim the incincerity of the bush govt through a bullhorn in middle of a red state town? middle eastern food?…..how would you propose a change if you really feel you need one?

Yeah, what David said. You’re ‘ordinary’ in that you don’t turn your life into a drama… but you’re not boring. Despite the difficulties you seem at heart to be a happy person, and that’s worth more than anything – *especially* when things are hard.

I most certainly agree! It’s not boring at all. Wait, you eat junk food? Like what? I want some!
