All for Nothing

So, I went to the doctor this afternoon to find out what’s been ailing me. As always happens, by the time I saw him, the worst of the symptoms had subsided. I was no longer feverish, no longer shaking and my body was barely aching anymore. However, the sore throat still existed (though even that pain had lessened).

He tested me for strep and it came back negative. Apparently, all I had was some sort of viral infection. I know it’s his job to treat me and all, but I still find the need to apologize for my coming in. I just feel like such a hypochondriac. But he comforted me by telling me that seeing him twice per year (once being for an annual physical exam) does not make me a hypochondriac. Then he joked that I should follow him around for a week and see how many hypochondriacs are actually out there.

It made made feel better. This is the same doctor I wrote about a month or so ago when I saw him taking public transit.

Oh, and I got my grades for last semester! I got an A in both classes: the computer class and Personal Financial Planning. I must have kicked ass on the financial planning class because going into the final my grade was a low A-minus. To boost it up to a solid A must mean I earned a near perfect score. YAY ME – that was good news to hear while I was feeling so crappy.

Of course, I’m not starting off the new semester all that well. I missed the second class last night since I was sick. I hope this doesn’t put me too far behind. ugh
