2006/03/02 Proposed Agenda

ø

  • Introductions
  • Talk about neat stuff
  • Sympathy to Wendy and Joey, who lost Joey’s dad this week
  • Well wishes for Michael
  • Upcoming blog meeting stuff in the works:
    • Andy Carvin, bandwidth waster, international traveler, blogger, sharer of fabulous tails and tales, who does really important things, has a new book coming out. When it’s available for distribution, he’ll tell us about it.
    • Dan Bricklin, known for his work on VisiCalc and wikiCalc
    • Possibly a superstar blogging librarian who’s giving a talk in the area
    • Ookles, perhaps — if their Boston road show works with a Thursday meeting
    • Someone who can fill us in on what’s happening with China and the Internet
    • If you want to help shepherd a potential future topic or if you have ideas of your own, please talk to Erica or j. We’d love – and could really use – your help!
  • HA! ice skating – when? (HLS even has a free ice rink, if folks have or can independently rent skates and there’s enough ice.)
  • If you want an invite to the private beta of Newsvine, as demoed by Critt Jarvis last week, post in the comments.
  • Brett wants us to go to a karaoke party at MIT…
  • Eat:
    • This week:
    • Last time: Pho Pasteur
