Easy as Making a Peanut Butter Sandwich

We turned our class over to an experienced and able replacement lecturer
today, and tomorrow we go in for the prep for the operation to put our
stomach back where it belongs, on Friday.  Meanwhile, we will keep
in touch with the little dears (actually this is a great group, with
students from 9 countries on 4 continents) via our class WIKI.

After years of experimenting with class web pages, web calendars, mailing
lists and class blogs, we have become firm fans of the concept of a class
WIKI. A WIKI is the absolute easiest web page to alter and manage. Students
have their own pages to play around with by the end of the first session.
The language is so simple and intuitive that complete beginners are posting
photos and songs by the end of the second session.

PBwiki logoWe
have been happily using PBWiki for three semesters now, and it is completely
transparaent and non-intimidating to students.  There
is a free 1 GB option, and for five bucks a month you can get 100 GB,
enough for multiple pages, images and sound files. It takes about 10
seconds to register and get your WIKI up and running.

The students love having their own pages, but because we want them to
feel secure about posting whatever they are thinking or doing, the class
Wiki
is password protected. But try making your own!
