Steroid Jones

Sprinter Marion Jones is
in the news again, after suing Victor Conte, the CEO of Balco Juice
Co. who has testified under oath that he gave illegal drugs to Jones
and then watched while she shot them up.

Jones, of course, maintains
that she has never taken either illegal drugs or any other performance
enhancing coverage.

In a subtle editorial comment, the Boston Globe
and several other major newspapers chose to illustrate this story with
a 6-month-old file photo which clearly shows Jones with a well defined
goatee and moustache (shown here, unaltered).

Expect more Jones suits
to follow. Asked for a comment, the irascible Jones grunted a gruff
"Quit bustin’ my balls."
