Aliens Need Visas Too

A day in the life of the Dowbrigade doesn’t seem
complete unless it starts with a perusal of the local newspaper, be
it the Boston Globe, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, or, at present,
The Mercurio of Manta, Ecuador.

In addition, since we have started blogging, most days we find out
first few posts among the pages of the morning paper. Of course, this
is a bit more complicated now in that we are unable to simply copy
and paste, as the Mercurio has no on-line edition, and making it available
to our audience will involve our skills as translator as well as analyst.
But the Dowbrigade is always up for a challenge, so here goes:

The UFO Phenomena, A Unique Event in the Port of Manta

El Mercurio, Manta – The video-confernce titled "Extraterrestrial
Diplomacy" and the exhibition of the 100 Greatest UFO Photos will
be a unique event in the Howard Johnson Hotel this coming 30th of April.

This conference is being sponsored by El Mercurio, the directors
of the Howard Johnson Hotel and the Ecuadorian Assosiation of Journalists,
Manabi Department Division.

The video-confernce is programmed for 7 pm in the "Manabi Conference
Hall" in the aforementoned hotel. It will feature the exclusive
participation of the renowned UFOlogist Jaime Rodriguez, who has
over 23 years of experience in the scientific study of UFOs (unidentified
flying objects).

Rodriguez will present recently "declassified" documents, which for
many years have been maintained in secret by the government. One of
those concerns an incident in 1972, in Lima, Peru, when extraterrestrial
beings visited the Ecuadorian Embassy in that neighboring country.

Wow! What a coincidence! The Dowbrigade was ALSO a visitor to to
the Ecuadorian Embassy in Lima, Peru, that very same year. What
else might we have in common with these clestial visitors? We will
have to
attend the conference to find out, presumably.

Ecuador has long been a hotbed of UFO sightings, supposedly for
its position directly beneath the most convieninet geo-stable orbit
around
the planet. It is also a long-established center of Shamanism, the Rosicrucian
sect, various forms of anamistic magic and esoteric disciplines, which
is one of the reasons we have long found it a fascinating focus of
fantastic alternative realities.
