Another Email Steals the Day

Set out to quickly fire off an email to Annika about those radiolarian samples. Ha. Not so fast, says life. It turns out the situation is a lot more complicated than I thought, and I ended up spending the entire day poring over her papers, trying to understand what exactly the Lophocyrtis lineage is, what species it includes, and in which samples which of these species occur. It’s all horrendously confusing, but by the end of the day, a picture began to pull into focus out of the haze. Sent off an email to Annika, asking for some more clarification.
