Waiting for the bikes to arrive from Colorado. Not the most exciting thing in the world. According to my new schedule, I’m supposed to be working on the diatom failure project. The next step in that project is essentially the same as for the extant diatom FIB project: get my hands on some diatoms. I decided not to wait but email Andy right away to see what he thought about ordering some diatoms to trial both projects and see if there’s enough material to work with. Beyond that, I’m not sure what else I can do on that project until I hear back from Andy. I suppose I could email Jacques with an update (done).
