This Has Taken Over My Netflix Queue

It was a Netflix recommendation so I tried it … now I am addicted and I have three seasons, five dvds each, to get through. And it’s not just because my dad was a Maryland policeman. I didn’t realise until I listened to a Season 2 commentary with him that Dominic West is English — from Sheffield, no less, home of Sean Bean, Jarvis Cocker and The Arctic Monkeys — which makes the scene (also in Season 2) where he tries on an English accent (and gets his English geography wrong because he learned it all from rock records) even funnier…

i had read in a review before i watched the series that he was british, so i knew–and actually you can kind of tell from the somewhat weird american accent he has that he’s not american. but i haven’t gotten to season 2 yet so i will look forward to the inside joke you mention. also one of the drug dealers is british, i don’t know the names yet, but he’s one of the biggies, i think he was killed off last season.
