The right question
We miss lots of solutions to problems because we don’t have the right question. It is the question that is more important than the answer. Jon Udell has a nice example. Also, “People are often very bad at saying why something works, or what forces act to drive them to a solution, but they typically are very good at saying why something doesn’t or can’t work. ..” AlistairCockburn. Brainstorming for questions why a solution will not work will lead to better designs.
