You could save your on-site (i.e., at the convention) writings in your laptop’s local hard drive, and then later when Internet access is available (either at the convention or elsewhere) upload the writings to your blog.
If “real time” blogging is what you’re after and logistically can’t do it because of a lack of Internet access on-site, you could also work around that by time and date stamping each of your saved writings in your laptop, then when you later upload them to the blog you could backdate the entries. Though not technically, for all practical purposes it would be very close to “real time” blogging.
In a pinch, it should do.
