LA Storm Watch ’06

It rained rather heavily last night – the biggest storm so far this winter.  Of course, it actually only rained for about five hours and the sun’s back up and shining this morning.  Still, LA was apparently devastated by the torrential downpour yesterday, judging by the fact that every single traffic light between my apartment and the office (a six mile stretch) was wiped out.  Police officers swarmed the streets trying to maintain order.  Where traffic is concerned, LA is always poised on the edge of anarchy. 

I swear, if Armageddon hits, this city is the first to go – unless Armageddon is accompanied by lots of sunshine and warm weather (which, what with all the talk of global warming, is a distinct possibility).

    hmmm… that’s weird, i didn’t encounter anything like that this morning heading out of my place, maybe it’s just your half of downtown that can’t seem to function in the rain! i kid 🙂 i always love the news. they finally get to say “storm watch 2006” as if we are all going to die and not like it’s not snowing, there a blizzards or tornadoes in other parts of the country. oh no, it’s the worst out in southern california. i love it! it’s so over the top and dramatic. sometimes it’s fun living in a ridiculous city. i have found other state’s news programs to be very boring compared to ours. and i think that at this point my response should count as a blog entry, haha!
