Jack Goes to Europe

After sleeping a bit, I went with Melanie to the Kreuzberg neighborhood to have dinner and go to some clubs.  Here

Hi.  I am at a stopover in Frankfurt.  I should be more tired
than this considering that it’s 6:00 am EDT, but I’m not.  It’s
noon here and I just had a $5.00 cup of coffee.

Pithy observations:

1.  The Europeans pay so much more attention to design here. 
I’m sick of ugly American airports!  I wonder how much of what
they do better is due to saving money by living with their
parents. 

2.  That was the first thing I noticed.  The second
was:  people standing in a zone in the middle of the departure
lounge smoking. 

3. Singapore Airlines is damn nice.  They had video games on the
plane and I played Super Mario Bros. from 1985, which reminded me of
Mark, of course.

4. I’m excited to be here!

5.  Holy sh*t the dollar has gotten weak.  This is going to be an expensive trip.
