The Technical University of Munich* – “One-Third of the People Don’t Believe in Democracy Any More” – 2
That is the conclusion reached in a study by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, a group that is associated with one of Germany’s two major political parties, the Social Democrats. The report has been described in an article published in the newspaper “Tagesspiegel am Sonntag.” Frank Karl of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation was quoted in the article as saying, “I’m afraid that about a third of Germans have mentally said good-bye to democracy.”

Die Technische Universität München* – „Jeder Dritte glaubt nicht mehr an die Demokratie“ – 2
Zu diesem Ergebnis kommt eine repräsentative Studie der SPD-nahen Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), über die der “Tagesspiegel am Sonntag” berichtet hat. “Ich fürchte, rund ein Drittel der Menschen hat sich schon von der Demokratie verabschiedet”, wurde Frank Karl von der FES zitiert.
