Bird May Have Mistaken Dog For Rat

New York’s Bryant Park had a bird problem. Hundreds
of pigeons and their guano were making the park a slippery mess. So
naturalists came up with a brilliant solution: import a few hawks, to
keep the pigeons at bay.

Problem solved – until Galen, a 2 pound adult male hawk with a 45-inch
wingspan, swooped down and gouged a Chihuahua with one of its talons.
