The state recorded its first vehicle fatality involving
a moose this week, when a car struck the animal along the Massachusetts
Turnpike in Warren. Amber Ronzoni, 24, of Webster, was driving east when
her 2004 Acura crashed into a moose Wednesday at about 10 p.m.

Wednesday’s crash did not involve alcohol, drugs, or speed, police said.
The moose was standing in the passing lane of the turnpike. Ronzoni was
a well-liked English teacher at South High Community School in Worcester,
according to friends who gathered with her family yesterday. from the Boston

the people who knew amber are still reeling from losing her. that cartoon moose, making light of the tragedy and our grief, is in very poor taste.

amber was my daughter…i stumbled upon your cartoon and “Loose Moose” article this morning purely by accident…
i cannot tell you how much it hurt…i sincerely hope you never have to experience such a loss and then have it compounded by such insensitivity.

Ms. Ronzoni was the greatest person that I have ever met. She was my teacher, my coach and someone that I, along with many others looked up to. Representing her death with a cartoon is shamefull. Whoever put this up makes me ashamed to be a human being.
