Earth as Art

Fabulous, fantastic images taken from 440 miles in space by the Landsat-6
satellite. The U.S. Geological Survey has selected 41 out of over 400,000
images for their "Earth as Art" exhibition at the Library of Congress.

"Each of the 41 images … has been selected for its artistic appeal
rather than for its scientific significance", said a librarian.  The
on-line slide show is worth a look.
