We are headed to a tropical world
ø
The alarming rise in CO2 levels in our atmosphere will undoubtedly have severe consequences for our planet in the not to distance future. If today’s levels are at 380ppm, and we continue to emit CO2 at current levels, we are certainly headed for a tropical world.
The negative effects are illustrated by the warming of the earth’s atmosphere, with the past century being the warmest on record in the past 1000 years. Also, the melting of the ice caps and changing of the sea levels will certainly have grave consequences for those near the coast line, as many will be displaced due to rising levels. Unfortunately, it is only a matter of time when places like Bangladesh and even in Louisiana (again) are greatly affected by the impact of global warming.
We certainly MUST change the way we live our lives if we have any chance of reversing this unfortunate path to a tropical, unstable world.
