At Harvard, I am an associate of the Institute for Quantitative Social Science and have conducted research with Harvard University’s Government Department and Center for European Studies, working on projects in Russia with Prof. Gary King and southeast Europe with Prof. Niall Ferguson. Starting in the fall of 2014, I will co-chair a seminar at Harvard entitled Business and Government in Emerging Europe with professors Rawi Abdelal and Dante Roscini of Harvard Business School. I am also a visiting lecturer at the Energy Delta Institute and work as a principal of Eastbridge Strategies, a CEE-focused research and advisory boutique.
Previously, I worked as a political economy consultant with the global economics consultancy IHS and worked as an analyst for an investment bank and a columnist for the Moscow Times. My commentary regularly appears in The Economist, Financial Times, Foreign Policy, Forbes and other fora.
I graduated from Harvard College with a concentration in history and central and eastern European studies.
