The yawn effect:  You’re sitting at a  restaurant with a group of friends.  Conversation is delightful. Then one friend pulls her phone out to check a message, an email or a phone call. The conversation drops as everyone else  at the table  checks their own phone for any kind of communication.

The newest form of accepted behavior (among a certain group) as multi-tasking moves from our virtual space to our actual space.
