The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has submitted its report to the Supreme Court on the exhumation of bodies related to the massacre of 14 Muslims during the Gujarat pogroms against Muslims in early 2002.  Bilkis Yakub Rasool, whose case we have been following, was gang-raped and witnessed the murder of these 14 people, including her two-year old child, mother and other relatives.  The CBI exhumed five bodies, including the body of a child:

Senior CBI officials and forensic scientists have confirmed to The Indian Express that pieces of clothing exhumed from the site in Dahod match those featured in photographs taken of the bodies when the Gujarat police hurriedly conducted the post mortem.

The CBI is investigating the suppression of evidence by the Gujarat police.
