The Folger Shakespeare Library recently (August 2013) hosted a two-day conference exploring “new tools for the study of English and Continental bookbinding and sharing new scholarship in the materiality of the book.” At the conference a workshop on a new RTI-like digital imaging tool kit was also presented. The kit was developed as part of the RICH project (Reflectance Imaging for Cultural Heritage) based at the Central Library of the University of Leuven (Belgium).
The technical centerpiece of the kit is a portable light chamber called, The MiniDome.
