FILM: Nirgendwo in Afrika

Hi all,

In honor of Oscars weekend, we’ll be showing Nirgendwo in Afrika (2001) this Friday. It won the 2002 Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and is seen by many to be the most beautiful movie made by a German studio in the last decade.

Nirgendwo in Afrika

The film follows a Jewish family that moves to a farm in Kenya in the 1930s. History, drama, a fascinating collision of cultures, and beautiful cinematography of the Kenyan landscape!
This movie won all of the major German film prizes in addition to the Oscar! One must see this film!

We’ll decide on English or German subtitles depending on the audience.
