Professor Guenther Frankenberg, law expert: “The reason the neo-Nazi HDJ has so much self-confidence is that nothing ever happens, no matter what the government says. Uniforms are declared illegal, but they wear their uniforms anyway. They even have their protest marches, like other neo-Nazi groups in Germany, because nothing ever happens.”
Niels Annen, Social Democrat member of the German parliament, an expert in matters of law and justice: “Where the HDJ is concerned, there is no place for any false ‘tolerance.’ In my opinion, this organization has to be banned.”

O-Ton Prof. Günter Frankenberg, Rechtswissenschaftler: „Die HDJ ist sich deshalb ihrer Sache so sicher, weil nichts geschieht. Es wird etwas verboten, Uniformen, und trotzdem tragen sie Uniformen. Sie haben Aufmärsche, wie andere Neonazi-Gruppen auch – weil nichts passiert.“
O-Ton Niels Annen, SPD, Innenexperte: „Und insofern kann es an dieser Stelle keine falsche Toleranz geben. Aus meiner Sicht muss diese Organisation verboten werden.“
