Moderator, Anja Reschke: ”In 1938, if you wanted to have your child raised as a good German, you sent him to the Hitler Youth, or HJ for short, in its German abbreviation. Children in the Hitler Youth went hiking and camping together, did their physical and mental exercises, and obeyed the ‘Fuehrer’ principle. With the end of the Nazi regime, the Hitler Youth was disbanded and forbidden.
“So, was this the end of that horrific episode? Not quite. In 2008, if you want to have your child raised as a good German, you send him to the HDJ, the ‘Heimattreue Deutsche Jugend’, the organization of ‘German Youth, Loyal to the Homeland’.”

Anmoderation Anja Reschke: „Wer 1938 sein Kind zum aufrechten Deutschen erzogen haben wollte, schickte es in die Hitlerjugend. Kurz HJ. Da gab es gemeinsame Wanderungen und Zeltlager, körperlichen und geistigen Drill, es galt das Führerprinzip. Mit Ende der Naziherrschaft wurde die HJ verboten.
Aus der Spuk? Nein. Wer 2008 sein Kind als rechten Deutschen erzogen haben will, schickt es in die HDJ. Die Heimattreue Deutsche Jugend.“
