„Berthold Beitz: ‚Ich habe aber gar nicht viel nachgedacht, als ich versuchte, so viele Juden wie möglich für meinen Betrieb zu reklamieren und so zu retten. Nein, ich habe darüber eigentlich gar nicht nachgedacht. Ich habe spontan gehandelt, aus dem Gefühl heraus. Ich musste es einfach tun’.”
