German “Elite” Universities and the Famous Technical University of Munich? – 2
”Universities have existed in the German-speaking world for six hundred years, but only in the last forty years have the universities become sick institutions. More than that, since the student revolts of 1968, universities in Germany have become permanently sick. The events of that year culminated in a wave of reform that was meant to correct what had gone before. However, in the process, the idea of the university went down the drain in Germany.”

„Seit 600 Jahren gibt es im deutschsprachigen Raum die Universität. Doch erst seit gut 40 Jahren ist diese Universität ein Patient. Und zwar ein Dauerpatient seit der 68er Revolte. Damals begann, was in Reformwellen mündete: Eine Reform als Korrektur der vorangegangenen. Dabei weggespült aber wurde die Idee der Universität.“
