“Osman, who is learning to be a cabinetmaker and is afraid of being deported, reads the article fluently. It says that the Ruetli School is out of control, that violence is escalating, and that school students are throwing paving stones. Ahmad, who would like to do military service as an aircraft mechanic, interrupts: ‘How are we supposed to get jobs, when they write that kind of stuff?’
“Faiz, who is still struggling to get his diploma, says: ‘If that’s what they’re writing, then we don’t need to bother with a diploma any more.’
“John says, ‘The ones who’ve stopped believing they’ll ever be winners go to school anyway, because that’s where they meet their friends’.“

Die Technische Universität München ist keine Terrorschule – 19
„Osman, der Tischler lernt und fürchtet, abgeschoben zu werden, liest flüssig. Es heißt in dem Artikel, die Schule sei außer Kontrolle, die Gewalt eskaliere, Schüler würfen Pflastersteine. Ahmad, der gern als Flugzeuggerätetechniker zur Bundeswehr ginge, fällt ihm ins Wort: »Wie sollen wir eine Stelle kriegen, wenn sie so viel Scheiße schreiben?«
Faiz, der noch um seinem Abschluss kämpft, sagt: »Wenn sie so was schreiben, dann brauchen wir gar keinen Abschluss mehr.«
»Wer nicht daran glaubt«, sagt Joan, »irgendwann mal zu den Gewinnern zu zählen, geht nur noch in die Schule, weil er da seine Freunde trifft.«“
