The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/1583225781\/002-2121011-3284851?v=glance\">book<\/a> has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.word-power.co.uk\/catalogue\/1583225781\">enthusiastic endorsements<\/a> for the way it lays out the history surrounding 9\/11, and positions the current Gulf War in the context of a larger US strategy.  In the interview, Mahajan spoke of Iraqi civil protest now taking shape, directed against the American occupation as well as against accepting a lousy civilian status quo.  As an example, he mentioned a group called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wpiraq.org\/english\/wpi310703.htm\">the union of unemployed<\/a>, and suggested (tongue in cheek) that something comparable might be a good development in the US.  Sure enough, when I googled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.ca\/search?hl=en&amp;ie=ISO-8859-1&amp;q=union+of+unemployed+iraq&amp;meta=\">union of unemployed iraq<\/a>, I found many links, all of them pointing to apparently volatile politics, populist grassroots communism, and just the sort of thing the State Department can work itself up over and dig a deeper trench about.
