But in the end I did, and now I&#8217;m glad I didn&#8217;t shirk the commitment off.<\/p>\n<p>Watching some of the more seasoned Toastmasters underscored my earlier insight (that just sitting at a keyboard isn&#8217;t going to cut it &#8211; d&#8217;oh). Get up and just do it.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m beginning to think that this might be a bit like going to the gym: even if you really do <strong>not<\/strong> feel like it, you should do it anyway. Mental work-out with body in play.
