Like being stuck? Mired? Attacked by creeping plaque on the synapses?<\/p>\n<p>I guess should be a bit too mature to feel in tune with <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kate_Bush\">Kate Bush<\/a>&#8216;s more youthful lyrics of yearning and frustration, but her 1982 <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Dreaming_%28album%29\">The Dreaming<\/a> album comes to mind these days, specifically <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Suspended_in_Gaffa\">Suspended in Gaffa<\/a> (although I don&#8217;t subscribe to the God angle)&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em>Suddenly my feet are feet of mud &#8230;It all goes slo-mo.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I don&#8217;t know why I&#8217;m crying &#8230;Am I suspended in Gaffa?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>(&#8230;)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I try to get nearer &#8230;But as it gets clearer<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>There&#8217;s something appears in the way<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>(&#8230;)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Am I doing it now? &#8230;Can I have it all now?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I want it all (&#8230;) &#8230;I can&#8217;t have it all<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"border: 8px solid white\" title=\"Eros bound by Igor Mitoraj\" src=\"http:\/\/lh5.ggpht.com\/_Rg-tSGYurlI\/S_XGcoJ1xvI\/AAAAAAAABK0\/Sodgv2EL8MM\/s640\/CIMG0751.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">.<\/p>\n<p>The photo, above, is one of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Igor_Mitoraj\">Igor Mitoraj<\/a>&#8216;s castings of his sculpture, <em>Eros Bound<\/em>. It&#8217;s installed in a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yaletown\">Yaletown<\/a> plaza at <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?f=q&amp;source=s_q&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=mainland+st.+and+nelson+st.,+vancouver+bc&amp;sll=49.276761,-123.118793&amp;sspn=0.00609,0.022037&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;hq=&amp;hnear=Nelson+St+%26+Mainland+St,+Vancouver,+Greater+Vancouver+Regional+District,+British+Columbia,+Canada&amp;ll=49.276373,-123.11893&amp;spn=0.012767,0.044074&amp;z=15\">Nelson and Mainland<\/a>. I first approached it from the back, and didn&#8217;t immediately make out that it&#8217;s a head.
