{"id":2515,"date":"2010-05-18T21:09:00","date_gmt":"2010-05-19T04:09:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/yulelog\/?p=2515"},"modified":"2010-05-18T21:09:00","modified_gmt":"2010-05-19T04:09:00","slug":"short-order-cooking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/yulelog\/2010\/05\/18\/short-order-cooking\/","title":{"rendered":"Short order cooking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some days&#8230; (Too many, as far as I&#8217;m concerned&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p>Cooking for three other people (a foursome, when I include myself) can get complex.<\/p>\n<p>This one likes scallops.<\/p>\n<p>Another two don&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>But one of the scallop-haters <em>does<\/em> like shrimp, while another likes neither.<\/p>\n<p>Two despise asparagus. Totally loathe it.<\/p>\n<p>Those two don&#8217;t overlap completely with the scallop-haters, though.<\/p>\n<p>Three think that having omelets as a supper side dish is gross. With a 3-against-4 ratio, the omelet was definitively &#8211; <em>duh-fee-nee-tive-ly<\/em> &#8211; nixed. No eggs. (Thank gods.)<\/p>\n<p>All four appreciate a good risotto &#8211; as long as it isn&#8217;t made with mushrooms (which two would veto &lt;sigh&gt;)&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Oh, sigh &lt;again&gt;.<\/p>\n<p>Best bet?
