{"id":1406,"date":"2009-07-24T10:16:04","date_gmt":"2009-07-24T17:16:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/yulelog\/?p=1406"},"modified":"2009-07-24T10:16:04","modified_gmt":"2009-07-24T17:16:04","slug":"its-all-in-the-mind","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/yulelog\/2009\/07\/24\/its-all-in-the-mind\/","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s all in the mind"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Either I&#8217;m becoming what I&#8217;ve always dreaded &#8211; namely, a candidate for one of those [flaky?] &#8220;self-realization&#8221; weekend retreats where you uncover, explore, and finally vanquish whatever subconscious &#8220;blocks&#8221; have you stuck in old patterns (&#8230;hey, didn&#8217;t someone make a sci-fi &#8220;religion&#8221; out of that?) &#8211; or I&#8217;m in the beginning grip of a sinusitis, accompanied by <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/lugubrious\">Lugu<\/a> (the old <a href=\"http:\/\/www.healthieryou.com\/exclusive\/chanceth0196.html\">Black Dog<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The absence of regular blog posts is not an indication of being happily employed elsewhere. It&#8217;s merely me stopping myself from writing posts like this one.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m stuck in every which way, and every time I think of a way forward, the hole gets deeper.
