{"id":1263,"date":"2009-06-09T21:04:26","date_gmt":"2009-06-10T04:04:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/yulelog\/?p=1263"},"modified":"2009-06-09T21:04:26","modified_gmt":"2009-06-10T04:04:26","slug":"last-focus-mag-uploads-now-on-scribd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/yulelog\/2009\/06\/09\/last-focus-mag-uploads-now-on-scribd\/","title":{"rendered":"Last FOCUS mag uploads now on Scribd"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I just uploaded my May and June FOCUS Magazine articles to Scribd.com &#8211; and wow, I guess I was <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/yulelog\/2009\/05\/01\/im-looking-for-a-job\/\">so pissed off<\/a> about the idiot letter in the May issue (which was in response to my April article, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scribd.com\/doc\/14501530\/Its-the-people-stupid-by-Yule-Heibel-Focus-Magazine-April-2009\">It&#8217;s the people, stupid<\/a>) that I didn&#8217;t even notice until now how badly the magazine had botched my May article: fully twelve words went missing from the beginning of my text, so that it starts in the middle of a sentence and makes no sense at all.<\/p>\n<p>Um, thanks for that&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I scribbled in the correction by hand before scanning the article, so at least my online version is corrected.<\/p>\n<p>Without further ado, for your reading pleasure, please check out May&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scribd.com\/doc\/16274403\/Embracing-complexity-and-density-in-Victoria-BC-by-Yule-Heibel-Focus-Magazine-May-2009\">Embracing complexity and density<\/a> (where I tear into &#8220;Wil&#8221; and his pro-suburban low-density ilk) and June&#8217;s<strong> <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scribd.com\/doc\/16274644\/Blue-Bridge-blues-by-Yule-Heibel-Focus-Magazine-June-2009\">Blue Bridge blues<\/a>, which criticizes our city council for wanting to tear down a bona-fide heritage structure without so much as a second thought.
