So what happened? Were investors turned off to the electric car revolution and suddenly had a change of heart? We had all seen the power of the Tesla Roadster long ago and knew the Model S would have a wider consumer appeal. Did investors just not have enough information to better value the company? <\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s no one reason to point a finger at, but one thing is for sure &#8212; few people believed their robotic controlled megafactory would ever hit 100% functionality. When investors got wind of the fact that its operations were indeed feasible, the stock exploded.
