Many researchers and practitioners believe so. This workshop explores what makes virtual worlds such rich spaces for learning, how participants in such worlds (particularly game worlds) are already learning, and how to exploit tho<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nyls.edu\/pages\/2396.asp\">State of Play Conference<\/a> &#8220;Building the Global Metaverse&#8221;), taking place in Singapore August 19-22, includes both a panel on Education, Kids, and Teens in Virtual Worlds (Monday 2pm) and a workshop on Wednesday. Organizing the workshop are <a href=\"http:\/\/delwiche.livejournal.com\/\">Aaron Delwiche<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/cyber.law.harvard.edu\/home\/bio_cbracy\">Catherine Bracy<\/a>, and myself.
