{"id":477,"date":"2007-01-18T18:02:35","date_gmt":"2007-01-19T01:02:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/sweetpea\/2007\/01\/18\/retail-therapy\/"},"modified":"2007-01-18T18:09:51","modified_gmt":"2007-01-19T01:09:51","slug":"retail-therapy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/sweetpea\/2007\/01\/18\/retail-therapy\/","title":{"rendered":"Retail Therapy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Been feeling blah all week.\u00a0 Partly because it&#8217;s abnormally cold here right now (seriously, how in the world did I survive three years in Boston?), partly because I&#8217;ve actually\u00a0caught a cold (T has taken to calling me the Germinator), and partly because work&#8217;s been really busy (ack).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To make myself feel better, I caved and bought <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanoutfitters.com\/shopping\/product\/detailmain.jsp?itemID=25982&amp;itemType=PRODUCT&amp;iMainCat=10&amp;iSubCat=15&amp;iProductID=25982\">this dress<\/a> (in blue) during my lunch break today.\u00a0 It&#8217;s amazing what a new outfit can do for your mood!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For those interested, I had a nice, relaxing three-day break this past weekend.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, I left work early so I could make it to downtown LA for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/savorflavor.blogspot.com\/\">a friend&#8217;s<\/a> birthday party.\u00a0 It was a fun, casual get together at an\u00a0Irish pub, topped off by the most <strong>amazing<\/strong> banana cream cheesecake ever, made by the birthday girl herself.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Motivated by the aforementioned amazing cake, I dragged myself out of bed at 6am on Saturday morning to do a\u00a012 mile run\u00a0with my running group.\u00a0 It was one of the most miserable runs I&#8217;ve been on, mostly because I was freezing cold the entire time, despite my long pants,\u00a0long sleeves, gloves and hood.\u00a0 Also, my new waterbelt was chaffing the small of my back.\u00a0 Oh, and because my contact lenses have been bothering me lately, I wasn&#8217;t wearing them and consequently couldn&#8217;t see anything.\u00a0 Woe is me.\u00a0 Fortunately, I survived (barely).\u00a0 Spent the rest of the day recovering and preparing for\u00a0a\u00a0small dinner party\u00a0we were throwing\u00a0later that\u00a0night.\u00a0 And\u00a0by &#8220;preparing&#8221;
