{"id":448,"date":"2006-11-16T12:32:09","date_gmt":"2006-11-16T19:32:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/sweetpea\/2006\/11\/16\/on-the-road\/"},"modified":"2006-12-13T19:01:16","modified_gmt":"2006-12-14T02:01:16","slug":"on-the-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/sweetpea\/2006\/11\/16\/on-the-road\/","title":{"rendered":"On the Road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Friday was my last day at my old job&#8230;although I have a standing offer to come back, so it may not be the last I see of my old firm.\u00a0 It was a happy sad day.\u00a0 We had a little office party to mark my departure.\u00a0 I absolutely love the people at that office.<\/p>\n<p>T and I have been on the road for this week.\u00a0 We went up to visit my parents in San Jose.\u00a0 T was a hit.\u00a0 Then we headed to Fresno to spend some time with his mom, whom I&#8217;d already met, and hung out with some of his old high school friends.\u00a0 I was a hit.\u00a0 =)\u00a0 In the meanwhile, Roomie supervised the move to our new place in Marina Del Rey.\u00a0 We&#8217;re heading back to LA tomorrow to spend a few days with R and her boyfriend, who are visiting Roomie and I from DC.\u00a0 During this time, I need to unpack, drop by my new office to fill in some paperwork (since I had volunteered to do so in order to &#8220;hit the ground running&#8221; when I actually start in a week and a half), and help T move his stuff in.\u00a0 Then it&#8217;s off to the Caribbeans on Sunday for a 5 night cruise.\u00a0 I get back the day before I start work.\u00a0 Emails and post updates will probably be sporadic until I settle down and get my internet all hooked up, but feel free to call and check in occationally!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Happy Holidays all and hope to see everyone soon!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Friday was my last day at my old job&#8230;although I have a standing offer to come back, so it may not be the last I see of my old firm.\u00a0 It was a happy sad day.\u00a0 We had a little office party to mark my departure.\u00a0 I absolutely love the people at that office.
