{"id":180,"date":"2006-03-28T10:30:28","date_gmt":"2006-03-28T14:30:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/sweetpea\/2006\/03\/28\/the-grump\/"},"modified":"2006-05-23T07:49:37","modified_gmt":"2006-05-23T14:49:37","slug":"the-grump","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/sweetpea\/2006\/03\/28\/the-grump\/","title":{"rendered":"The Grump"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a name=\"a607\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>My friends and I call our friend DJS (whom I adore &#8211; just in case you&#8217;re reading this DJS!) &#8220;The Grump&#8221; sometimes.\u00a0 When he&#8217;s tired, you can almost see the clouds forming over his head and the mope lines settle across his face.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been feeling a bit like The Grump the last\u00a0week or so.\u00a0 I&#8217;m normally a very upbeat person, I fear irritatingly so sometimes.\u00a0 For the last several months, I&#8217;ve surprised even myself by bounding out of bed at six every morning excited about going to the gym.\u00a0 This morning, I had to drag myself out of bed and only managed to do so\u00a0after a very stern talking to.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.followthefrog.blogspot.com\">The Frog<\/a> thinks it might be the weather.\u00a0 It&#8217;s been abnormally cold for Los Angeles and I think I&#8217;m suffering from a bit of seasonal depression, which is extremely odd because (a) it hasn&#8217;t been that bad, (b) it hasn&#8217;t been &#8220;bad&#8221; for long, (c) there have been several really nice days between the &#8220;bad&#8221; days, and (d) (as the Frog astutely pointed out), I freaking lived in Boston &#8211; aka Bad Weather, USA &#8211; for three years and was (relatively) fine.<\/p>\n<p>You know you&#8217;re a spoiled Californian when&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My friends and I call our friend DJS (whom I adore &#8211; just in case you&#8217;re reading this DJS!) &#8220;The Grump&#8221; sometimes.\u00a0 When he&#8217;s tired, you can almost see the clouds forming over his head and the mope lines settle across his face.
