{"id":134,"date":"2005-11-14T23:12:45","date_gmt":"2005-11-15T03:12:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/sweetpea\/2005\/11\/14\/snort-squeak\/"},"modified":"2006-04-28T00:27:18","modified_gmt":"2006-04-28T07:27:18","slug":"snort-squeak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/sweetpea\/2005\/11\/14\/snort-squeak\/","title":{"rendered":"Snort &amp; Squeak"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a name=\"a405\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Blogger Bash &#8217;05 was a smashing success.\u00a0 Finally got to meet G and Vitatwin last night, as well as spend time with KQ, KA, the Frog, and some non-bloggers (J and Arm Candy).\u00a0 =)\u00a0 Thanks again\u00a0for hosting G &#8211; it was fantastic!<\/p>\n<p>The night was off to a good start when I managed to navigate my way to and\u00a0through G&#8217;s (WOTWIFLI) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.miriamwebster.com\/dictionary\/byzantine\">Byzantine<\/a>* apartment complex with a minimum number of\u00a0detours\u00a0(3).\u00a0 It got even better when I arrived at G&#8217;s apartment and was greeted with\u00a0hors d&#8217;oeuvre, or yum-yums, as my dad calls them, and cookies.\u00a0 G, Vitatwin (G&#8217;s brother) and KQ proved to be even more charming in person than in cyberspace.\u00a0 We played a terrific game of Taboo (honestly the BEST game EVER), invented inside jokes\u00a0(most of which aren&#8217;t appropriate to repeat on this blog) and\u00a0picked up new nicknames (Snort and Squeak were probably my favorites).<\/p>\n<p>I must have used up my dose of navigational know-how getting to G&#8217;s place though because I managed to get loss on the way back home from his place (despite the fact that his apartment is less than a mile from my office).\u00a0 At one point my car was at the corner of the street I take to get home and\u00a0the street where my office is located and I could SEE my office, two blocks away.\u00a0 I still wasn&#8217;t quite sure which way to go.\u00a0 I actually had to drive back to the office, which, again, I could see from where I was, and start from there.\u00a0 I seriously think whatever part of my brain controls spacial stuff is defective.\u00a0 Seriously, seriously defective.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and per everyone&#8217;s request, here&#8217;s the article (and picture) of the <a href=\"http:\/\/msnbc.msn.com\/id\/9600151\/\">alligator eating exploding snake<\/a>.\u00a0 This sad snake gives new meaning to the phrase &#8220;Don&#8217;t bite off more than you can chew.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>*Byzantine and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.miriamwebster.com\/dictionary\/kafkaesque\">Kafkaesque<\/a> are two of my favorite words.\u00a0 Mostly because they&#8217;re\u00a0complicated and slightly obscure words which are somewhat ironically used as adjectives to describe things that are complex and, perhaps needlessly, intricate!\u00a0 =)\u00a0 (*hanging head in dorky shame now*)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Blogger Bash &#8217;05 was a smashing success.\u00a0 Finally got to meet G and Vitatwin last night, as well as spend time with KQ, KA, the Frog, and some non-bloggers (J and Arm Candy).\u00a0 =)\u00a0 Thanks again\u00a0for hosting G &#8211; it was fantastic!
