{"id":126,"date":"2005-11-02T08:27:05","date_gmt":"2005-11-02T12:27:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/sweetpea\/2005\/11\/02\/epstein\/"},"modified":"2005-11-02T08:27:05","modified_gmt":"2005-11-02T12:27:05","slug":"epstein","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/sweetpea\/2005\/11\/02\/epstein\/","title":{"rendered":"Epstein"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a name='a374'><\/a><\/p>\n<p><P>I care pretty much not at all about baseball, but I find Theo Epstein&#8217;s departure from the Boston Red Sox a fascinating human interest story.&nbsp; There&#8217;s a great article on it at <a href=\"http:\/\/sports.espn.go.com\/espn\/page2\/story?page=simmons\/051101\">ESPN.com<\/a>.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Oh and bit of a non sequitur (although not really if you follow this blog at all), but I love, love, love these <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coach.com\/aspx\/content\/CollectionList.aspx?categoryId=365&amp;child=449\">pocket satchels<\/a> in varying shades of brown from Coach.&nbsp; But I need a really, really, really good excuse before I&#8217;ll let myself buy one.&nbsp; Like passing the Bar again.&nbsp; Hmmm, maybe if I sign up to take another state&#8217;s Bar?&nbsp; After all, I did take two or three weeks of the NY state Bar exam classes before I switched to California (long story for those who haven&#8217;t heard it).&nbsp; How hard could it be?&nbsp; =)<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Updated to add:&nbsp; One of my fellow associates, A1, suggested I buy it to celebrate surviving my first year as a lawyer.&nbsp; This is a pretty good excuse, as far as excuses to purchase purses go.&nbsp; If I hadn&#8217;t wasted $1,000 (!!!)&nbsp;on a crown for my back tooth last month, I&#8217;d be buying the purse right now.&nbsp; But the $1,000 is still hurting.&nbsp; Lesson &#8211; Always buy dental insurance!<\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I care pretty much not at all about baseball, but I find Theo Epstein&#8217;s departure from the Boston Red Sox a fascinating human interest story.&nbsp; There&#8217;s a great article on it at ESPN.com.
