{"id":1058,"date":"2010-09-30T16:27:01","date_gmt":"2010-09-30T23:27:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/sweetpea\/?p=1058"},"modified":"2010-09-30T16:49:32","modified_gmt":"2010-09-30T23:49:32","slug":"30-week-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/sweetpea\/2010\/09\/30\/30-week-update\/","title":{"rendered":"30 Week Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Baby Cakes is 30 weeks and 5 days today and appears to be on track for his December 4th due date!\u00a0 A little over nine weeks left to go!<\/p>\n<p>I was measuring two weeks ahead at my last appointment so the doctor had scheduled an ultrasound during this check-up.\u00a0 Generally, measuring big doesn&#8217;t necessarily signify anything (due date could have been wrong or baby is just sitting high), but there was\u00a0a\u00a0slim possibility it could signal something was wrong so I was a little nervous.\u00a0 Fortunately, Baby Cakes is measuring right on target and\u00a0everything appears to be okay (cross fingers, knock on wood).\u00a0 We saw his little\u00a0chest moving as he\u00a0practiced\u00a0&#8220;breathing&#8221; (a good sign the doctor pointed out) and his little heart\u00a0pumping.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Back is still hurting and I&#8217;ve developed a few other random aches and pains, but overall I&#8217;m feeling okay.\u00a0 Baby Cakes has been super active lately and kicks throughout the day.\u00a0 I keep\u00a0reading posts about people\u00a0having still births late in their pregnancy, so every kick is reassuring.\u00a0\u00a0(I really need to stop reading these kinds of things, but as I told T, I feel like if I worry about it, it will be less likely to happen.)\u00a0 I know\u00a0Baby Cakes&#8217;\u00a0activity level will likely decrease as he runs out of room to maneuver in the womb, but in the meanwhile, I love feeling (and seeing) him move!\u00a0\u00a0It&#8217;s my favorite part\u00a0of being pregnant.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Baby Cakes is 30 weeks and 5 days today and appears to be on track for his December 4th due date!\u00a0 A little over nine weeks left to go!
